App of the Week

So, I recently came across this app which I've now downloaded onto my phone: WIWT (What I Wore Today)

What I like:  like the idea of it; I think it's a cute way of getting people to be creatively aware and more social and open about their style identity. In summary, it's a simplistic Instagram dedicated to fashion. You have a feed displaying other users of the app and each person has a profile displaying information about themselves as well as displaying their posted outfits.

There is also a great 'Lust' tab which is basically a wishlist - soon all-time favourite feature of mine as it really feeds your fashionista appetite. 

The flaws: unfortunately, I have a bit of criticism about the app... 

The first flaw that caught my attention was the format and size of the application interface. It is clear that the app has not yet been updated since the 4th generation iPhone due to it's marginalised placement of the app, and also the lag time! It often freezes and takes a long time for the software to move when you try to scroll or tap somewhere. 

This is another issue for me:

I personally prefer when applications remain internalised; enabling the user to complete all tasks whilst remaining within the app, without having to exit it or click an external link. 

Unfortunately, I have had this app for almost a week and have not figured out how to view or edit my own profile! Another set-back would be the lack of intuitive design within the layout of the app.

Overall, the idea is there and the concept is great, but the conviction and presentation of the application is not quite there which disheartens me a little from whole-heatedly recommending it.
