Okay so, it's that time of the year - prom. However, my sixth form doesn't do a prom, so instead we're having a 'dinner & dance' and speeches from the head boy and girl, and maybe clubbing after. I've decided that for this event I want to look so so hot that everybody will regret not asking me to be their date... Yup, boys and girls. My prom outfit idea so far is to break away from the conventional 'dress' idea, despite what you see here, instead I'm aiming to wear a sexy two piece that draws attention to my waist and bust - trust me, I'm going all in.

I've spent the two years at this sixth form wearing black as my staple colour, so for this dinner and dance/prom I've decided to wear anything but black (however, my favourite bralet is black... But I'll sort something out). The colour in mind is baby pink or red. I already know red looks more than amazing on black girls, but baby pinks and peaches are something I'm not too sure about. On the site I plan to order from, all of the models are white. This really doesn't help me at all to envision a very important outfit for me, so I actually had to use this shopping trip I had with my friend to try on unconventional colours which usually aren't modelled on black girls.

What did I learn?
That black is beautiful and melanin pops severely in colour! (Lol) so baby pink or peach is a yes! However, I do think red encompasses the sexy look I'm going for a lot more, so i may go ahead with that... Or black... No no, stay away from Black Anastasia, please :'(

Anyway, both of these dresses are available in #missselfridge in more colours. I'd advise this dress with some chunky platforms, #LaModa is fabulous for those! Unless you're a size UK 8.5 like me, then good luck lol.

I definitely think any other colour would take away from the beauty of the dress, so white is safe here.
